Mawasim Restaurant & Lounge brings bold yet simple flavours of the Mediterranean on a plate. The restaurant décor brings out the rich and tasteful elements complementing the theme of Seasons. The interior is inviting, elegant and is inspired by the use of many natural finishes.
The warm lightings with hint of colours gives a contemporary, comfortable and cozy environment. The blue and yellow coloured seating has cushions thrown in for that extra comfy feel. Statement carved wooden lanterns adorn the ceiling adding to the warmth factor. The sheer drapes allow privacy or a great view while dining. The lavish restaurant façade oversees the al fresco, leading the guests inside.
The menu is designed by Chef Maher Ramzi, an artist in his own right, with decades of valuable insight on food from across Europe and the Middle East.
His culinary journey can be best described as a mix of the old and the new; credited to his humble beginnings in Europe, Jordan and eventually making way to other Middle Eastern countries. The menu is simple yet features the many flavours and ingredients of the Mediterranean cuisine. Bread is at the heart of the menu and needless to say, is baked with love. Relish the healthy flavours of seasonal vegetables, richness of organic meat and freshness of seafood. Our herbs are organic and self-grown which are used in a variety of dips and garnish.
The menu is carefully planned with an intend to create a balanced palate and a good spread of food categories.
Guests can expect a touch of local flavor in the menu as Chef Ramzi offers the best of both cuisines – Mediterranean and Middle Eastern – since his expertise lies in both.
The restaurant can seat more than 200 guests in the vibrant indoor set-up and an equally beautifully al fresco. Guests also have a choice to be seated in the smoking or non-smoking area. Mawasim is an all-day restaurant and opens every day for breakfast at 9 am until 2.30 am on weekdays and 3 am on weekends.
